ARQ

Spanning across both Melbourne & Sydney, and totalling 9,000sqm, uniformity and consistency across all floorplates was key to providing equality to the different departments.

ARQ’s Melbourne office spanned across 4 levels (approx 5000 sqm) and the Sydney office was spread across 3 (approx 4000 sqm). To ensure everyone had access to the same facilities, Hot Black developed a ‘neighbourhood’ concept which supported an agile workforce and created a flexible working space. A key cultural driver for ARQ is having the ability to work anywhere, and therefore a number of different furniture settings can also be found throughout the space such as high collaboration tables, booths and informal meeting points. The aesthetic driver for the offices was to be reflective of the brand – there is a lot of branding throughout the various floors, and bold accent colours shine throughout the space. This was also used for the graphic and way-finding solutions developed by Hot Black. Bold colours, tactile elements and illumination are just some of the concepts that help to elevate the brand and culture within each office.
